Youth Ministry

Youth Pastor: Trey Cleveland

Reaching, Connecting, Growing, Challenging, Discovering, and Honoring!

Reaching out to non-believing students with the Gospel...  to connect them with other Christians...  to help them grow in their faith...  to challenge growing Christians to discover their ministry area and to honor God with our lives.

We hope that as you get involved in the life of the church that you will discover a place to be a part of God's people.  If you are a youth (student in grades 6-12), a parent of a youth, or just someone interested in supporting the needs of our youth and their families, please read on...

Sunday AM "Praise & Worship" Contemporary Service -  9:30 AM in the Family Life Center

Youth are strongly encouraged to attend our Sunday morning Praise & Worship services held in the Family Life Center. We strongly encourage our youth to our Sunday morning services on a regular basis.

Sunday AM Bible Study - 11 AM in 'The Garage'

Sunday School gives the students the opportunity to dive a little deeper into God's Word in a smaller class setting. Youth in grades 6-12 participate in a "Small Group" style lesson where the Bible is the primary teaching source.  Students are encouraged to bring their Bibles with them to church but we have copies on hand for those who may not have their own. If you (or your student) are looking for a bible, we strongly recommend  having a student study Bible in a modern translation (preferably a NIV. or NASB).

Wednesday Night Youth Group - 6:15 PM in 'The Garage'

Students meet on Wednesday evenings after Family Meal (served in the FLC during the school year; Youth eat FREE!) at 6:15 for fellowship and recreation. During the Summer, we meet at 5:30 in "The Garage" for dinner and afterwards our Bible Study.  Lessons are taught by several of our youth leaders using curriculum designed by Word of Life. Each lesson incorporates the study of God's word, multi-media, and Small Group discussion. Wednesday night youth is a time where we can hang out, learn about God, and be discipled.

Fellowship & Other Activities

In addition to the fellowship that we have with one another on Sunday's and Wednesday's, there are other activities scheduled frequently in The Garage and at other locations. Check out the Youth's Facebook page for upcoming events: The Garage @ First Baptist Church

There are special activities that happen during the year that students and families are always welcome to be a part of... Univeral's "Rock the Universe" in January (Orlando, FL); "Witner Jam" Christian Concert in January (Tampa, FL);  Word of Life's "Youth Summer Camp" in June/July (Hudson, FL) to name a few! A summer mission trip is currently in the works. Check back for more details!
